An Exciting Journey Has Begun

A Message from Nam V. Vo, Scientific Director

I am thrilled to extend a warm and heartfelt welcome to all of you as we embark on an exciting journey to establish the new Bethel Musculoskeletal Research Center (BMRC)

It is with great enthusiasm and a deep sense of purpose that we open our doors to a community of talented researchers and clinicians dedicated to furthering the study of musculoskeletal disorders. The BMRC will promote transformative research on areas such as osteoarthritis, tendinopathy, and spine-related diseases to translate our research understandings into effective preventive and treatment interventions to improve the lives of those we treat every day. The experience of Orland Bethel, the man for whom our center is named, powerfully illustrates the impact of treatment for musculoskeletal disorders on individuals and society. He was living with debilitating pain until successful surgery enabled him to recover mobility and function. His name will be a constant reminder that the work we do in this center can change people’s lives. I am personally excited about the possibilities that lie ahead and the potential to make meaningful and lasting contributions to the field of orthopaedic research
